I blog therefore I am

I was "feeling a blog" tonight.....but I had no real inspiration. I just wanted to for some random reason I havent figured out ( which happens quite often with me). I thought welllllll, when I don't have anything to blog about, I usually just make a list. The list of To Do's, the List of "I'm thankful for's", a list of my favorite things that day...... Just anything.
It helps get the blog bug off of me until I have real inspiration to write. Well, midway thru my list of dumb things that no one really cares about anyway, I received a harsh poke from my (realistic?) side.
I thought, "What in the world?
What is a blog and why in the stinkin' world do you have one? Who REALLY cares what you think about anything? I mean, really, TRULY cares?!
Then it happened.

"The blogging revelation"

I now know why I blog.

A. Blogging gives me a nodding acquaintance with the world of opinions.....a "voice" per say . Maybe just one, but one nonetheless.

B. I have thoughts and ideas and.... every right to voice them.

C. Maybe I just love to write.

I want to know though, why do you blog?

a few thoughts

I am happy with the way I live.
I love the feeling that comes with knowing Jesus Christ for myself. I do not feel slighted or misguided. I do not need liberation from an extreme lifestyle; Jesus has provided the only liberation I will ever need. I am not bound, I am free.
I do not weigh costs or calculate sacrifices. I believe in absolute truth. I will live my entire life wholly dedicated to the truths the Scripture teaches. I do not need bands lifted or burdens lightened. It's not about me anyway. My focus for the here and now is simply heaven. I will do everything within my power to reach those who have yet to hear this amazing gospel. I will not be judgemental because ultimately, I am not the judge. I will not give in or quit. This is way too important and I only have one shot.
Who cares if I get to heaven and God says, "That wasn't neccessary, Brittanie".
......I am there.

When you can't remember your login ID or password for your blog, it's been too long since you've written.

Yup, that's me, Ole' Sis. 'Can't Find the Time To Blog Anymore'. I won't bore you with all the wonderfully interesting things that are going on in my world right now, but I did want to check in and let you know I love all of you faithful blog-checkers(Kathy)!

Anyway, I have a brilliant friend that writes frequently and she had the following quote posted on her blog. It is an excerpt from the book "Kite Runner". What an intense way to look at sin! I think it's amazing....

"...there is only one sin, only one. And that is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft. Do you understand that?"

"When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness. Do you see?"

"There is no act more wretched than stealing..."
