latte,lost souls, little women

Sometimes when I have had entirely too much caffeine, my heart lays awake, troubled by the "great falling away" that the church (and yes even my church) has encountered recently. There are many good things going on, many new souls being touched, you might even say we were in revival. But yet I can't help but worry for those who chose something stupid over God, namely themselves. Tonight is one of those nights. I write ,pray, think and rethink what I can do, and if anything is even wanted. Maybe this is futile, but I still do it. And all when I need to be sleeping.
I feel like Jo, from my most favoritest movie ever, "Little Women". As she so elequently stated about her midnight ramblings:
"Late at night my mind would come alive, with voices and stories, as dear to me as any in the real world. I gave myself up to it, longing for transformation."

So maybe if I were you, I would not drink that second latte, I would pray for lost people when they come to your mind, and I would watch Little Women. That way you can be cool and random like me.

Lurking Questions. Serious.

Why do people squint their eyes when they can't see? Wouldn't that just make it less space to see out of?
Why isn't "palindrome" spelled the same way backwards?
Why do they say "an alarm going off," if it is really going on?
If a person suffered from amnesia and then was cured would they remember that they forgot?
Why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?
Why is it called a "building" when it is already built?'
Why do we play in recitals and recite in plays?
Why do they put Braille dots on the keypad of the drive-up ATM?
Can blind people see their dreams?
If an anarchist group attained political power, would they by principle have to dissolve their own government?
What does OK actually mean?
If you have x-ray vision, and you can see through anything, wouldn't you see through everything and actually see nothing?

.......because I really want to know. And no one has answered these for me yet!

I've been amazed by John Goddard since I was a very little girl. I read his story in my Chicken Soup for The Soul-Volume 1 as often as possible.

night sky.

Sometimes when I feel very far away or lonely, I look at the sky and remember that it's just one big canopy over us all.
And God is bigger than the night sky. Sleep in peace. His plan is infinitely more vast than we can imagine.
We know that all things work together for the good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose. (Rom 8:28)
Obedience is better than the sacrifice. So, in spite of it all im doing the right thing.

My heart is absolutely broken at the loss of G.A. Mangun. I get this very acute pain in my heart when one of our dear patriarchs goes to heaven. Yes, it's strictly selfish. We dont have too many left, unless some dear men and women of God become as heaven intended and fill their great shoes.
I remember the first time I met him, I cried. What a loss for all of us... the family and the world.

precious.

Calm. Smiling.

For some reason I am ok with waiting. I want everything to be perfect, and I want God to have completed His perfect work in me. As wretched as it is to worry, I am coming to terms with patience and peace.

Godspeed

Godspeed, a phrase meaning "God spede you" or "God prosper you." I wish you Godspeed.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
Is your belief in me so fragile that it cannot handle an inconveient truth?

I've had an awesome, community centered day. Spent the morning in library board "Go Green" meetings required of us by the Patriot Act. So proud of our local library for being almost completely green! Love serving my community on the board.
Taught two piano lessons and then took the kids for lunch, ice cream and Summer Reading Program Sign-Up. Not sure about camp tomorrow, considering it's a five hour drive total and will make a very late night. Seems kinda dumb..?

I'm happy, tired and thankful. Good feeling.

CSI: What You Shouldn't be watching.

I didn't write the review below..but it is factual.

You will find that I often delete my facebook account for long periods of time. Part of that is to take a breather from all the "drama". Sometimes I have low tolerance.

Unrelated.... but it seems like a platform for the lackadaisical or backslidden apostolic to launch their stupid ideas about nearly all things controversial and upsetting. I recently have noticed something that concerns me: Check out the "movies and television" section on your friends profiles. It's scary.
Intense violence, immorality and loss of family values flood the majority of the shows that are being watched.

Is the church just plain ignorant or blatantly disobedient to God's laws? When does the scripture "Set no wicked thing before thine eye" come into play? I do hate television. For it's filthy advertisements and commercials,as well as it's non-family friendly programming.

Get with it. Don't numb yourself. It's not worth it. And don't get mad at me for saying something. I might be the only person in your life that will.

Wikipedia:

CSI has often been criticized for the level and explicitness of graphic violence, images, and sexual content. The CSI series and its spin-off shows have been accused of pushing the boundary of what is considered acceptable viewing for primetime network television.[26] The series had numerous episodes on sexual fetishism and other forms of sexual pleasure (see especially the recurring character of Lady Heather, a professional dominatrix). CSI has been ranked as among the worst prime-time shows for family viewing by the Parents Television Council nearly every season since its second,[27][28][29][30] being ranked the worst show for family prime-time viewing after the 2002–2003[31] and 2005–2006[32] seasons. The PTC has also targeted certain CSI episodes for its weekly "Worst TV Show of the Week" feature.[33][34][35][36][37][38] In addition, the episode "King Baby" aired in February 2005, which the PTC named the most offensive TV show of the week,[38] also led the PTC to start a campaign to file complaints with the FCC with the episode;[39] to date, nearly 13,000 PTC members complained to the Federal Communications Commission about the episode.[40] The PTC has also asked Clorox to pull their advertisements from CSI and CSI: Miami because of the graphically violent content on those programs.

You are for me.

So faithful
So constant
So loving and so true
So powerful in all you do
You fill me
You see me
You know my every move
You love for me to sing to you

I know that you are for me
I know that you are for me
I know that you will never forsake me in my weakness
I know that you have come down
Even if to write upon my heart
To remind me who you are

I appreciate.

I love the earnest simplicity. No fanfare. Little is much, insignificantly significant. easy to please.

Freedom Song

Love the Lyrics to this song.... I feel like it's our church. =)
Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE, the word itself says...
I'M POSSIBLE!
