I am absolutely sure.
positive
holding on
believing
tough,
resolved and confident.

And that's all I can say right now. But it's a done deal.

Freedom, Jesus style.

The letter below was written by a prisoner I write. She in her 30's, has been in prison since age 18 and has 16 more years to serve. She is the daughter of a couple in our church...Imprisoned for attachment to murder.

But, thru it all.... she has found Jesus and as you will read, is very free. Jesus Freedom knows no bounds and is present in prison! Be encouraged today!

Dear Brittanie,

May this letter reach you in the best of health and spirits. I am always happy to hear from you and your card lifted my spirits. Thank you for that scripture because I needed that.
I am so happy that everyone really enjoyed their Christmas cards. I just wanted to do something for my church family because all of you have truly been a blessing to me. I want to give back and help other people in whatever way I can. I want to always be able to encourage others and uplift them. I just want God to continue to use me so that His will may be done. God has truly blessed me and I have so much to share with others. You have welcomed me into your hearts with open arms and have prayed for me and blessed me and that has been such a wonderful gift that you have given me. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful family. Thank you so very much.

There are certain lessions of grace that can be learned only in the valley of pain and distress. Show me a Christian who has suffered much and deepened his dependence on God and I will show you a sensitive soul full of compassion for others and a deep love for his Savior.

According to a legend a king once placed a heavy stone in the roadway. Then he hid and waited to see who would remove it. Many who came by loudly blamed the goverment for not keeping the highway clear, but none assumed the duty of pushing the obstacle out of the way. At last a por peasant stopped and rolled it into the gutter. To his surprise he found a bag full of gold embedded in the road beneath the spot where the the rock had been. A note said it was the king's reward for anyone who removed the troublesome object. So too, our King has hidden a blessing under every trail. The obstacles on our path are placed there for a purpose. By them God tests our faithfulness, turns our attention heavenward and gives us opportunity for spiritual reward. Hidden under the "Rock of Trail" that has brought you very low is a special blessing, roll your burden on the Lord and in time you will find His favor.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song". Psalm 28:7

Take Care and God bless you. Tell everyone I said hello and send my love.

With love,
Natasha

no time no time no time

I am going to attempt a semi-regular posting schedule from now on. With my current hourly schedule breakdown I barely have time to go to work. haha, no really. I am going to TRY to write more this year. But if you are going to be huffy for my lack of updates, the crux of the blame falls on my busy schedule. Give me more time.

What...

What makes me happiest? I love peace. When everything is smooth and relaxed. When I know I'm doing right and my best in life.

What's my nickname? My parents call me Nichole or Bert. ( don't call me Bert, I hate it more than words can say). My dad sometimes calls me Zsa Zsa when he thinks I am being too high maintenance or outlandish. And most recently, my brother has penned me as Google. lol.

What makes me tick? I live for church work. I love to help create an atmosphere where people can worship. And I am all about my family.

What's the nerdiest thing about me? Hmmm. I am an avid reader. But I hardly feel this qualifies me as a nerd. I hate socks but I have to wear them with my boots so I just find whatever I can out of the mismatch bin on the dryer.....so they don't match 89% of the time.

What grates on my nerves? Two faced people. The Bible says it best: "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways....."
I have always diregarded the saying "If they will talk to you about people, they will talk to people about you". But it's so true.

What have you worked hard for? The ability to be true to myself. It's been a long time coming but I have finally acquired the skill.

What do I think all people posess? God gives each person a measure of giftedness..... and they either pass or fail with cultivating it. Discipline, passion and pure "fight" are essential.
