don't mess with texas

I get in these hardcore political moods, but have no fear, they usually don't last that long.
Most of the time, i have a strong predilection for republicans.
In George W. Bush's case, I would have to say I just like the guy.

Almost everytime I get on aol they have an article posted about how disliked the president is...and a list of "reasons". Stupid, stupid people.
Most of those lobbying against him have severely messed up lives .... let alone political views.
But since a person usually has reasons they like someone... here are my plug(s) for George W.

1. Signed the partial-birth abortion ban into law. By far the most significant roll-back of abortion on demand since Roe v. Wade.
2. He is from Texas.
3. Has severely damaged the terrorist groups and Taliban movement.
4. Implemented the No Child Left Behind program.
5. Replaced private airport screeners with Federal employees, resulting in some reduction in the number of guns and explosives that get through.
6. Lobbied for and got a law passed to prevent re-importation of dangerous drugs from Canada.
7. Freed the capitol of Afghanistan from the Taliban
8. First president in decades to execute a federal prisoner. ( one less criminal mastermind to feed with tax dollars)
9. First president in US history to enter office with a criminal record. ( a good thing!.. he overcame many personal issues and addictions)
10. Worked tirelessly on the Faith-based Initiative.
11. Made $33 million available for abstinence education programs in 2004.
12. Supports the Defense of Marriage Act — and a Constitutional amendment saying marriage is between one man and one woman.
13. His leadership resulted in Republican gains in the House and Senate.
